My great client Sarah came to me with this idea of a little girl holding a teddy bear at the edge of a scary forest. I immediately thought of authur rackham and the dark fairytale illustrations that always facinated me a a child. I had alot of fun with this piece and it's something a little different than what I'm used to doing.
Had a blast with this one. I don't do much color so this was a great learning experience on how to efficiently simplify my palette. In recent past, I've purchased so many different brands and sets of colors. In doing so just have gotten lost trying to color match and from photo to ink, instead of making the color from one's I enjoy using. Thank you to my client,Kim, who sat super well and let me have fun with this. The teapot was her own, the leaves and smoke freehanded. The polar bear tattoo was from our Animal Tattoos for Endagered Species fundraiser at OTM, flash design drawn by Tim Senecal.

This tattoo was done on a really great client Jennifer. She came to me wanting to get hanu talismans or carved seaturtles to represent her family (wife, husband and their two children). This tattoo really meant alot to her especially now as she faces hard times ahead. My and the rest of the OTM crew's positive thoughts are with her.

this is a color skeleton key tattoo and antique padlock tattoo, chain and banner tattoo. the client wanted to incorporate all of these different elements into a positive bound feeling for his daughters. i included their initials into the teeth of the key. had a really good time doing this one.More Info
really fun tattoo to do! the client and i are adding onto and existing leg sleeve tattoo with the theme of evolution. my contribution and furthering to finish, is examining man's role of industrialization. starting with the enslavement of land and animals and then ending with our own enslavement to the system we've created. there's a long way to go on the leg and can't wait to work on it again. i'd really like to do more tattoos of these types of themes and story lines.More Info
here's the second installment on matt's leg. again more breakthroughs. it's a work in progress so i shifted the entire picture to greyscale. adding in more sculptures and sculptural elements into my tattoo work.
can't wait for the next sitting! hope you like!More Info
this is the start of a massive project on matt the intern. this tattoo of a woman's face breaking away to reveal a rose was a huge breakthrough for me! it came from one of my sketch-a-day where i was drawing to understand sculptures and creating a sculpted effect in tattooing and drawing, versus just rendering the subject matter. in spirit i had sensai looking over my shoulder.
more to come!!!More Info
here's a bruins bear and old hockey puck with the bruins b tattoo. i did it an illustrated photorealistic style. i used a refenrence photo of a hocky ring for the cool blues and purples in the background to bring the temperature down a bit but to also compliment the warm colors of the puck emblem and the warmth in the bear fur.More Info
