This piece was alot of fun to do. the client approached me with the idea of doing a hamsa as a tree morphing into a flower of life. I really enjoyed the challenge of designing something that wasn't overtly recognizable and using the braches to form the shape of the hand.More Info
My great client Sarah came to me with this idea of a little girl holding a teddy bear at the edge of a scary forest. I immediately thought of authur rackham and the dark fairytale illustrations that always facinated me a a child. I had alot of fun with this piece and it's something a little different than what I'm used to doing.
During my most recent of guest spots at the Off the Map-Italy studio, I did this large shoulder tattoo. The client requested a merge of two portraits, one Native American and the other Maori. For the base of this I used a portrait from the Edward S. Curtis Collection, titled "Big Head". From there I overlayed a carved mask and ink/paint textures. This piece was quite a challenge for many reasons.More Info
